Digital Designer :: Education / Experience

I received my Bachelors' degree in Agriculture. The course curricula included several subjects pertaining to agriculture like Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics, Botany, Plant Pathology, Entomology and the like.The students raise all the important crops of the State in small plots in the college farm under the 'work experience' program.

First step into the world of computers at APTECH was exciting. I learnt the very basics of computers like different Operating Systems, MS Office tools and some programming languages like C, C++ and FoxPro. This knowledge encouraged me to pursue higher studies in computers which led to completing a Masters' program in Applied Computer Graphics from the Dept. of Computer Graphics Technology, Purdue University.

During my studies at Purdue, I learnt about web and graphic design, 3D modeling, 2D and 3D animation. The final thesis project invloved a comparative study of traditional medical illustrations and the medical visualizations generated using Interactive Volume Illustration Software (IVIS) developed at PURPL, from the CT scans of temporal bone.

I was a Teaching Assistant (TA) for an Internet Foundations, Technology and Development course (CGT141) helping students with basic web design and development fundamentals. I was also a web and graphic designer for some departments in the University. I have done several several volunteer and freelance web and graphic design work which are showcased in the Portfolio section of this website.
